A Cookie Jar

MARCH 11, 10-14 (4 hours)

I think my mother had this cookie jar when I was a child. It is so easy to find your childhood memories with google. 🙂 Come make a special heirloom for your counter top! It won’t be quite this large but it will be a handmade treasure just the same!

4 hours: On March 11, (2nd Saturday of the month) there is a place for you. My studio is a little oasis of respite and relaxation. Come get away, give yourself some time to play. I’ll put on some ambient jazz and you can do some clay therapy. Complete your project within 3 hours, then under-glaze in the last hour. I will add a transparent glaze it for you before I fire it.

Morning Session: 10:00 – 14:00 Make a Cookie Jar
Afternoon Session: 14.00 – 16:00 Student Yarn Bowl glaze.

Please bring soled inside shoes to minimize tracking clay dust. You are welcome to bring your own crafting apron. Eat breakfast and be prompt! There will be a coffee short break, when possible, but assume you’ll not want to stop!

Cost 64€

Reservations required.

Come do something different!

UNDERGLAZING: Underglaze is like colored wet clay and is applied like paint to unfired clay. Your cookie jar will be glazed with transparent glaze before firing.

(Children’s Workshops are also available, please contact me if you are interested in reserving a date. Thank you.)
