4 Tuesdays in a row! Ceramic Handbuilding 101 Workshop with Suzanne
I will be returning for the third time with my pottery studio to the Finnish American Kindergarten! It’s another chance for your children to participate in real ceramics workshop without bringing them after a long day of work!
It’s a Pirate Tour! The children will make treasure chests and coins to fill them with. Using the book How I Became A Pirate by Author as inspiration, we will make treasure chests using the clay slab technique. We will glaze the items during the last week. The Treasure Chests will be delivered to the kindergarten two weeks after the completion of the workshop.
Here is the schedule of fun:
Day 1: Rolling slabs, we will prepare the pieces of the treasure chest and add texture.
Day 2: We will attach the walls like a box. Tops and bottom. Adding holes for string hinges.
Day 3: Everyone will make personalized coins!
Day 4: We will glaze our wares.
Projects will be ready for pick up at school two weeks after workshop.
